Basketball Tourney To Benefit JDMF

RUMSON - The Jay Dooley Memorial Foundation will host a youth and adult 3 on 3-basketball tournament on July 16 and 17 at Holy Cross School, 30 Ward Ave. Proceeds from the event will benefit the foundation.

The JDMF is a family foundation that funds critical mental and medical health evaluation and treatment for children with special needs. The JDMF will provide financial assistance to families to ease the economic burden associated with these services and offer health and educational resources for children with disabilities and support and education for educators working with these children.

The Youth 3-on-3 tournament will begin at noon on Friday and the adult 3-on-3 tournament will take place on Saturday, July 17 starting at 7:30 a.m.

Age brackets for children are 10-11, 12-13, 14-15. Adult brakes are 16-19, 20-29, 30-39 and 40 and over. Games will be officiated by certified officials and according to National High School Federation rules. The cost to register is $150 per team, with each team comprised of a minimum of three players and a maximum of four. Players who register as individuals will be matched up with a team.

The cost of registration includes two event tee shirts.
