venue that is now undergoing
a $2 million exterior
restoration.

RED BANK - To address
the financial woes plaguing
borough government, the
mayor and Borough Council
have announced plans to have
police take unpaid days off
and to have drivers begin paying
the parking meters again
on Saturdays.
FREEHOLD - Officials
overseeing recovery operations
in response to the
severe storms and flooding of
mid-March have announced
that the registration deadline
for New Jersey homeowners,
renters and business owners
to apply for disaster assistance
has been extended until
close-of-business on Thursday,
July 1.
FAIR HAVEN - The Fair
Haven Mayor and Council is
entertaining a proposal from a
developer to create an overlay
zone for an age-restricted
housing development.
RED BANK - Twelfth
District Republicans Senator
Jennifer Beck, Assemblyman

Schundler to the Red Bank
Borough School District and
the Freehold Borough
School District this morning.
FREEHOLD - The Monmouth County
Office on Aging, Disabilities and Veterans'
Interment and its Advisory Council will hold a
public hearing on the current and future
needs of the elderly to help with future planning
of services by the agency.
RUMSON - It's a go for
the borough's fireworks this
July 3. Just two weeks after
acknowledging that the borough
was unable to meet a
contract deadline for the fireworks
because fundraising
efforts had fallen short,
Mayor John Ekdahl confirmed
that the borough is
moving forward with the
event after all.
RED BANK - The
Borough Council this week
amended this year's proposed
municipal budget to include
the recently approved furloughs
for police officers and
other cuts.
RED BANK - Red Bank
RiverCenter is abandoning a
long-standing event intended
to raise money for the borough's
special improvement
district, because it failed to
raise enough money to make
it worthwhile.
