The Kickoff celebration for The American Red Cross (ARC), Jersey Coast Chapter Hometown Heroes was recently held at McLoone's Rum Runner in Sea Bright. Throughout the month of March, Red Cross Chapters across the nation will be honoring their local heroes as part of National Red Cross Month. The nominated heroes are ordinary people who have done extraordinary things... bringing passion and heart to help others in their time of need. A celebratory luncheon is planned for the heroes on March 26 at 11:30 a.m., at Branches Catering. To purchase tickets or for information, contact Leanne Caffrey at (732) 493-9100 ext. 1233. Pictured here are Paving the Way Heroes Michael Ruane and Erika Rech (center) founders of "Breast Friends Forever." The two are standing with Michael's mom, Marianne Ruane (left) and Erica's mom, Carol Rech (right).
