Haiti Relief Drive This Sat. At Little Silver Firehouse

LITTLE SILVER -Local volunteers will be collecting donations of medical and health supplies, toiletries and dried foods for the citizens in earthquake-stricken Haiti this Sat. Jan. 23 at the Little Silver Firehouse on Prospect Ave.
The event is being coordinated by volunteers from the Red Bank organization American Recreational Military Services in collaboration with Convoy of Hope, a Missouri-based nonprofit organization that is already working in Haiti.
According to Little Silver resident Paul Sniffen, a volunteer truck driver from Convoy of Hope will be traveling from St. Louis, Mo. in an 18 wheeler that will be loaded with donations and then driven back to St. Louis for air transport to Haiti.
Major contributors to this effort are Little Silver Schools, Jersey Shore University Medical Center, Riverview Medical Center, Monmouth Medial Center, Brookdale College, Monmouth University, Monmouth County Library, Two River Times, Hub, Atlanticville, Monmouth Journal, Fort Monmouth, A&P, Acme,Shop Rite, Marriott, Sheraton, Holiday Inn, Comfort Inn, Red Roof Inn, Spirits, Genesis Healthcare, Ranney School, Christian Brothers Academy, Red Bank Regional, Shore Regional,. City of Long Branch, Long Branch Schools, Rumson Country Day School, Rumson Fair Have Regional, Forrestdale School, Holy Cross School, Red Bank Catholic, Tinton Falls Schools, Monmouth Regional, Lincroft School. St Leos School, Lincroft Fire Dept, Lincroft First Aid , Northside Engine Co, Westside Hose Co, USMC 6th Motor Battalion, Frank Pallone and hundreds of other unnamed individuals.
Boxed and labeled items that are needed are medical , health, toiletry supplies and dry foods such as beans,rice, pasta, oats, grits, eggs, milk, pancakes.
Convoy of Hope, a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization, is a disaster relief organization that feeds the hungry and provides pure drinking water to people in need across the United States and around the world.
